Accessibility statement
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use starkbilisim.com regardless of disability. This page explains what the site offers, how we make client websites accessible, and how to reach us when something falls short.
What this site provides
The panel opened from the accessibility icon at the bottom left, plus the site's foundations.
- Text sizeFour steps (100-140%). The whole site scales proportionally without breaking the layout.
- High contrastBlack background, white text, strong borders; works in the light theme too.
- Reduced motionAnimations and transitions turn off. Applied automatically when "reduce motion" is on in your OS.
- Underlined linksLinks are underlined for users who cannot rely on colour.
- Readable spacingWider letter and line spacing, line length capped at 70 characters; helps with dyslexia.
- Keyboard support"Skip to content" link, visible focus ring, panel and menus close with Esc.
- Screen readersMeaningful heading hierarchy, image alt text, form labels and ARIA roles.
- Settings rememberedChoices are stored in your browser and applied without flicker on the next visit.
- No third partiesThe panel is the site's own code; no external service calls or data sharing.
The target standard is WCAG 2.2 AA. Conformance work is ongoing; known gaps are listed below and this page is updated with every fix.
How we do it on client sites
Accessibility is not a plugin added later; it is a set of decisions made at the start of design. The checklist we apply on every project:
Contrast and typography
At least 4.5:1 contrast between text and background; no body text under 16 px; text scales by percentage.
Everything by keyboard
Menus, forms, sliders and modals work without a mouse; focus order matches the visual order.
Screen reader testing
Pages are read with VoiceOver and NVDA; headings, landmarks and alt text are meaningful.
Mobile and touch
Touch targets at least 44 px; zoom is never blocked; no horizontal scrolling.
Forms and errors
Every field has a visible label; error messages sit next to the field and are announced to screen readers.
Measurement and report
At delivery we report the Lighthouse accessibility score and a manual checklist; target above 90.
Known limitations
Honestly, some points are not finished yet. What we are working on:
- Some project images (mockups) carry only short alt text; detailed descriptions are being added.
- The animated background on the home page can load slower devices unless "reduce motion" is selected.
- Tables in blog posts need horizontal scrolling on mobile.
- Some sections on English pages are still in Turkish.
Hit a barrier?
If there is a part of the site you cannot use, content you cannot read, or a setting missing from the panel, write to us. We reply within five working days and announce the fix on this page.
